Compact Review: Duck Sauce’s Quack

Duck Sauce – Quack
Rating: 73/100
Released: April 15, 2014
Four years after their breakout single “Barbara Streisand”, two elite DJs (Armand Van Helden & A-Trak) deliver a consistently entertaining 54 minutes of duck themed dance music that is refreshingly more focused on grooves than drops. EDM has been taking itself pretty serious lately and Quack’s shimmering disco provides some much needed comic relief for a genre that is buckling under the weighty pretense of its own success. Disco samples, silly skits, and booty shaking abound.
Top Tracks: “Barbara Streisand”, “It’s You”, “Ring Me”
