Andy: We decided to give Jo the week off so that means CC Weekly Playlist curation duties fall to me this time around. The playlist kicks off with Anderson.Paak’s “The Bird” from his excellent new album Malibu. His magnetic blend of hip-hop, R&B and sunshine make for an effortlessly enjoyable ride and he is one of the artists I’m most looking forward to seeing next month at Coachella. I’ve included some new tunes from Compact Culture favorites M83 and Flume, and with new records from both on the immediate horizon, I am beyond excited to hear what these electric wizards have been working on. Also on this edition of the CC Weekly Playlist are our friends Paulina Vo and The Brave Optimistic, both of whom have recently appeared on my podcast, The Record Club.
